Where and when can the RVS engine treatment be used?

Practically everywhere where lubricants are used to reduce friction between two surfaces in order to reduce wear. At least one of the surfaces must contain iron. The greater the percentage of iron, the better RVS Technology works.

The RVS engine treatment is good for every car. In new vehicles, the metal surfaces are protected, wear is reduced, and performance maintained longer. In older vehicles, damage to the metal structure is repaired and its new condition restored.

Can the RVS Technology destroy or damage anything?

The RVS engine treatment has been used in more than 800,000 systems all over the world and was effective everywhere. Then is no evidence that the RVS Technology ® damaged any of these systems

How is RVS Technology different from other oil additives?

RVS Technology is not an oil additive because it does not change the properties of the oil.RVS Technology acts earlier. RVS Technology coats the surfaces with a ceramic and thus assumes many of the functions of oil. Surfaces treated with RVS Technology use less oil, less fuel, and are better for the environment.

Many oil additives increase oil consumption.

Why is this not the case for RVS Technology?

The principle of RVS Technology differs completely from the way oil additives function. Most oil additives make oil more fluid (lower viscosity) so that friction is reduced. However, these thinner oils can pass through the piston rings and burn more easily, thus increasing oil consumption. RVS Technology modifies the surface of the ferrous materials. Since the new ceramic coating is much smoother than the original metal surface,  friction is reduced. When used correctly according to the instructions, RVS TECHNOLOGY does not increase oil consumption.

What does "correct use" of RVS Technology mean?

The correct use entails application twice, once before and once after an oil change, including the required break-in period. After the first treatment, oil consumption may increase slightly for a short time. After the second treatment and break-in period, you will notice lower oil consumption.

When using RVS Technology, the gel is mixed with the oil.

Are there any other uses?

There are many possible uses among RVS pros that are successfully implemented. Since these uses have not been standardized because they must be chosen depending on the respective condition, we request you to address your question to us in writing at: info@rvs-deutschland.de

Why was RVS Technology not available until now?

The principle has been known since the 1970s and was quickly used to restore worn metallic surfaces. Developing control of the reaction alone took a great deal of time and led to many problems. In the mid-90s, a catalyst was discovered using nanotechnology that made it possible to control the reaction. Since the 70s, the underlying mineral principle has not changed. We conducted our extensive test program up until introduction into the market in 2001 to determine possible uses and standard procedures.

How does RVS Technology work in wet clutches in motorcycles?

Since clutch discs do not contain iron, there is no reaction with the RVS Cermet. The RVS Cermet does not influence either clutch function or oil. After many years testing hundreds of motorcycles and tens of thousands of motorcycles on the market, there has been no evidence of problems with wet clutches.

When treating motorcycle engines, please note that the transmission must be treated at the same time. During the break-in period (a few hundred kilometers), all gears are to be used equally.

Can RVS Technology be used for engines with an oil volume greater than 6 liters?

Yes because the various sizes can be mixed for any amount desired. For gasoline engines, you mix G6 and G2 and for diesel engines D6 and half of D4. That means, for an oil volume of 6.5 to 8 liters, you order two D6s and one D4 for a diesel engine and for a gasoline engine two G6s and two G2s.

Customer question about a noise in the differential

Question:

I own a 1992 928 GTS with a weird problem. The differential makes a low humming noise at low speeds (between 50 to 60 km/h) and only at part load. Below and above this speed the differential is quiet. I asked numerous owners in the Porsche forum and everybody agrees that this is caused by the ring and pinion. I already checked the bearings, the ring and pinion (both are OK) for wear and adjusted the backlash, which was out of tolerance. The backlash adjustment did not change the noise significantly. My question for your product is now: Can RVS reduce noise that is generated in a differential? What are the experiences of your customers?

Answer of RVS-Tec:

The noise giving differentials are a relatively typical phenomenon in rear wheel driven vehicles and it's typical that the noise, even faint, is troubling and can be heard within certain speed range or ranges (= frequency range).

According to our experiences with MB, BMW and other rear wheel driven brands the results vary somewhat depending on the object, reason and the current condition and wear rate of the device to be treated. It's possible that RVS doesn't have the capacity to totally remove the noise, but RVS helps basically always. The earlier the stage of the noise problem the better the potential for a totally successful RVS treatment result. Usually, if not totally eliminated, the noise level at least declines and often the noise giving speed (frequency) range changes and becomes lower and more tolerable at the same time.

It’s obvious (but not evident) that a strong noise indicates of bigger wear or bigger problem. Restoration of such device request naturally for more RVS compound than the restoration of problems giving noise hardly audible. If the wear and/or noise are extensive it's recommendable to carry out the RVS treatment twice. Sometimes it is necessary and it makes sense to treat even three times.

Is the RVS engine treatment effective even for older vehicles with more than 150,000 km?

The RVS engine treatment is especially effective for older vehicles, as the wear such as scoring of the metal is greater and the repair through cleaning and filling is thus more noticeable. In some cases, a third treatment (two after the oil change) can be useful. But at 160,000 km I advise you to use only two treatments.

Can the nano treatment be used for a gas engine also?

Since autogas, in contrast to diesel and gasoline, contains no lubricants at all, RVS Technology is particularly effective. RVS Nano engine treatment even lowers oil consumption in a gas engine.
